“If the 5 richest people in the world were to lose 99% of their wealth, they would still be in the richest 1% of the world”
That is insane.
So much money, in the hands of five rich assholes with only their own interests in mind,
trying to figure out how to squeeze every last cent out of the pockets of those who barely have enough money to keep themselves alive,
or otherwise selling their data so that other companies can shove ads down their throat.
War is everywhere, because two guys with egos the size of Jupiter decided to pick fights with others.
The world appears to be falling apart, and yet...
There is still peace
still beauty
in this messed up and broken world.
It’s everywhere, in the glimmer of someone’s eye, the patterns of a tree’s trunk.
The words of others who, like me, see the brokenness of the world and still refuse to give up,
who choose to speak out and fight the machine.
Yes, the world is broken, but it has always been broken in one way or another,
and humanity has survived this long, not for the sake of survival, not even for the beauty,
but rather, out of spite. Yes, spite, and that too is beautiful.
